If all this warm weather hasn't got you itching to start playing outside already, here are a few items that might!
1) Womens Spring League - Reg Opens Feb 20!
The
Calgary Ultimate Association
is opening registration for its annual Women's Spring League on
February 20! This is a GREAT way to start off the season, whether you're
new to the game, have a few summers under your belt, or are looking to
ease into the competitive season with some fun ultimate. It's open to
ALL skill levels and is intended to be a fun, skill-building
environment with a focus on polishing throwing and catching
abilities while learning or reviewing the basic elements of the game. Here's the details:
Monday Nights
April 2 - May 7 (6 Weeks)
6:30 pm OR 8:00 pm (one game per Monday, games are approx 1.5 hours)
McMahon Stadium OR Shouldice Athletic Park
$62.50 (+GST) / person

2) Wild Rose Discs - Get 'Em While You Still Can!
Start
off the new season with a brand new disc! Wild Rose, Calgary's
competitive women's team, still has a few of their *limited edition*
discs for sale, but they are going fast! They are a steal of a deal at 1
for $15 or 2 for $25. It's a perfect Valentine's Day gift for that
someone special (he's totally man enough to pull off using a disc with a
flower on it) or as simple treat for yourself.

3) Womens Indoor Scrimmage - Coming Soon!

for details of an upcoming indoor scrimmage night. We're looking into
booking some indoor field time leading up to Spring League and will be
welcoming all skill levels to come out and play!
4) 2012 Season Info Meeting - Coming Soon!
We'll be
hosting a causal info night in the next month or two to share what's in
store for Calgary Women's Ultimate this season. Stay tuned for more
details and definitely come out if you are interested in practicing
part-time, playing Flowerbowl in June, or playing competitively
full-time with Wild Rose and going to
Nationals this August!
