Next few practices are "closed"

Due to the rain and mushy fields, outdoor practice is cancelled tonight. For all the ladies going to Flowerbowl, we will still be having practice at the soccer centre. We'll email details once we have a time and place confirmed.

Also, next week's practices will be for Flowerbowl ladies only, so we can practice playing together in the teams we'll be using for the tournament. Thanks for your understanding, and wish us luck in Vancouver!

Fifteen-O de Mayo Hat Tourney - May 15

Grab your sombrero and hold on to your maracas -- there's a spring hat tourney coming up that promises to be muchas fun! All skill levels are welcome! This is a great place to put your newly acquired Spring League skills to work or to warm up for the Summer League season. Even if you can't stay for the whole day, come down to the fields around noon to join us for a BBQ.

The theme is Fifteen-O de Mayo, a celebration of mexican ultimate's breakaway from the spanish federation in 1987. Arriba! Bring your sombreros, flowered shirts and umbrella drinks to ring in the summer season. Even if you don't have a sombrero, make sure you bring a hat of some kind because yes, true to its word, we will be picking hats from the pile to place you on teams.

We'll start off with a group warm-up, do some skills and drills, and then scrimmage at the end. Bring a white and a dark shirt, lots of water, and a disc. Practice is on rain or shine, so dress warm!
