Wild Rose, Calgary's competitive women's ultimate frisbee team, has set up an NHL Hockey Pool to fundraise money for the 2011 season. Funds will go to developing the women's ultimate program in Calgary as well as to help cover traveling costs to Nationals. To participate, you need to follow the instructions below to sign up and join the "Off Season Ultimate" pool on the CBC website. Then you need to pay $20 to any Wild Rose player (or email transfer to calgarywomensultimate@gmail.com ) The proceeds will be paid out as follows:
50% Wild Rose
1st place 30%
2nd place 15%
3rd place 5%
Instructions to sign up for the pool are as follows:
1. Sign up for an account on the CBC hockey pool page here: http://hockeypool.cbc.ca/cbc/hnicp11/register
2. Go to the following page to join the group: http://hockeypool.cbc.ca/cbc/hnicp11/groups
Select the "Off Season Ultimate" group (get there quick by clicking 'O' ). And enter the password: wildrose (if you are not logged in you will need to log in with your username/password you created in step 1).
3. Make your picks by selecting "My picks" from the menu. Basic instructions are included on the "My Picks" page, or more detailed instructions can be found on the "How to play" page.
4. First round picks must be made by April 13.
Please get your money in ASAP but by April 22 at the latest. You can email calgarywomensultimate@gmail.com to arrange payment if needed.
