Info & Social Night - April 26

Interested in practicing or playing with the women's team this year? Want to know more about how the 2012 season is going to run? Join us for an info meeting to talk about women's ultimate in Calgary and the options for getting involved.

Open to all ladies, any skill level. Come out, meet fellow ulti players, ask questions, and get psyched for the summer!

  • Wild Rose Tryouts (May 10 & 17), open to all ladies interested in playing tournament(s) with the women’s team (either development or competitive)
  • Spring Hat (Co-ed) Tournament (May 13), all levels (guys and gals) welcome

Ultimate for juniors (ages 9-13 and 14-18):

Group Fitness Thurs April 19 - To The Core!

Since the un-spring-like weather cancelled our session last week, join us this week for another attempt! Focus will be on core strength (so bring a yoga mat or blanket/towel to lay on the ground) and throwing. If it's too wet to work our abs in a horizontal position, we'll do an alternate workout on the stairs. All ladies are welcome (whether you're trying out for Wild Rose or not). Here are the details:

Thursday, April 12
6:00 pm
Crescent Heights Park (throwing location at top of Memorial Drive Stairs)

Dress for the weather, bring something to lay between you and the ground, bring some water, and meet in the little park at the top of the Memorial Drive stairs (noted on the map as the throwing location) at 6:00 pm sharp. All fitness levels are welcome -- everyone will go at their own pace.

Second Group Fitness Session - April 12

Join us for our second group fitness night -- another stairs session this Thursday! All ladies are welcome (whether you're trying out for Wild Rose or not). Here are the details:

Bottom of Memorial Drive Stairs

Dress for the weather, bring some water, and meet at the bottom of the Memorial Drive stairs (by the Sunnyside Curling Rink) at 6:00 pm sharp.  We'll be there rain or shine. All fitness levels are welcome -- everyone will go at their own pace.

Friday, April 13 - Women's Indoor Night!

Mark your calendars and tell your friends.... Calgary Women's Ultimate is planning another night of indoor ultimate!

This is a great way to get the blood flowing and to meet other ulti ladies before the summer season starts. All skills are welcome!

Date: Friday, April 13
Time: 6:30 - 8 pm
Place: Calgary West Soccer Centre, Field #4 (turf)

Time To Kick Some Cardio Butt!

Alright ladies, it's time to get the blood flowing! Remember how great it feels whenever you can outrun and outlast your opponent? Join us for some women's fitness sessions this month and you'll be armed with that extra cardio edge just in time for league and tourney season. All ladies are welcome (even those not trying out for Wild Rose). Our first session is this Thursday and will involve some good old-fashioned stairs running (with maybe some throwing afterwards if it's not too snowy). Here are the details:
